Recognised training centre for apprentices

As well as having a team of experienced and highly qualified accountants, tax specialists and bookkeepers, we are also a recognised training centre for apprentices, many of whom stay with the company throughout their career – building strong and lasting knowledge of our clients businesses and personal needs. We are ICAEW (The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) chartered accountants.

Current Vacancies:

Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised bookkeeper or junior accountant to join our Chichester team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to maintain office operations and accurate financial records. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for client’s bookkeeping data.
  • Prepare VAT Returns, CIS Returns and payroll (training provided).
  • Coordinate with the accounts team as needed.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Provide administrative support to the management team as required.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and phone calls.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bookkeeping qualification such as AAT Certificate in Bookkeeping or ICB Certificate in Bookkeeping preferable
